Description from the seller
AUSTRIA. Vienna. 1 Schilling. 1925.
- Value: 1 Schilling.
Year: 1925.
Inscriptions: EIN SCHILLING around the Austrian coat of arms surrounded by laurel branches; REPUBLIK OESTERREICH with a depiction of the Vienna Parliament and the date at the bottom.
- Rating: MS64 (NGC).
Silver coin from the first issues of the First Republic of Austria after the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The obverse shows the national coat of arms flanked by laurel branches, symbolizing stability and sovereignty of the new republican state, while the reverse features a detailed view of the Vienna Parliament building, with excellent architectural definition and good depth in the reliefs. The specimen retains an attractive original shine with clean fields and well-marked reliefs, showing minimal contact marks consistent with a grade of MS64, making it a particularly attractive piece within this emblematic Austrian republican series.
