Trevisan Carlo presents Il bacio, an original oil painting from 2024 depicting two goldfish in a surreal, celestial scene, measuring 25 × 25 cm and 200 g, signed by hand.
Description from the seller
In this oil on canvas entitled "The Kiss", Trevisan returns to explore the submerged world — or, rather, one raised to the heavens — of his goldfish, gifting us one of the most tender and immediate images in his entire body of work.
The artwork depicts two goldfish caught in the exact moment of contact, a kiss that appears as a seal of union and complicity. As in a waking dream, the water vanishes to make way for a celestial dimension.
The two fish are linked by a curious detail: their mouths seem to meet through a small golden ring or a series of concentric circles, turning the instinctive gesture into a formal and precious bond.
The vibrant red of the protagonists stands out boldly against the blue background. The orange hues and the finely detailed fins give the fish a dynamic vitality, as if they were dancing in the void.
The white, fluffy, isolated clouds are arranged around the couple like silent spectators. This decontextualization is Trevisan's hallmark: by depriving the fishes of the watery element, the artist frees the feeling from gravity, making it universal and infinite.
In "Il bacio", technical precision is put at the service of poetry. The handling of color is impeccable, free of smudges, creating an image that is at once graphic and deeply emotional. It is a celebration of love understood as encounter, balance and pure beauty..
Oil painting on canvas mounted with a white passe-partout, 35 x 35 cm, and a faisite panel.
