Four historical Belgian commemorative medals and one Art Deco medal by a Belgian artist
1. 1830
A commemorative medal on the occasion of the laying in Brussels of the cornerstone on 4 December 1830 of a monument to the fallen in the struggle for independence.
On the front: a tomb with a covered urn on it and the inscription 'dulce et decorum patria mori'.
On the back is a list of the names of attendees at the ceremony, political dignitaries, and the year 1830.
Bronze, weight 16 g. Diameter 31.7 mm
In original box.
2. 1858
A commemorative medal on the occasion of the inauguration of the Lichtervelde–Veurne railway line on 9 May 1858.
On the front side a steam train and inscription 'inauguration du chemin de fer de Lichtervelde à Furnes 9 mai 1858'
On the back, 'Administration Diksmude' with a coat of arms and a crown.

On the front, the portrait of King Leopold II and the inscription 1830-1905.

On the front, a likeness of Blancas and an inscription.
On the reverse, Argentine coats of arms in the clouds above a rough sea with two steamships and inscription 'La Belgique à la republique Argentine. Comité national de secours et d'alimentation. Hommage de reconnaissance'

A bronze medal in Art Deco style 'la chasse' made by the Belgian artist Antoine Vriens (1902-1976)
On the front is a likeness of Diana, goddess of the hunt. The back is blank.
