It will be carefully packaged and shipped with express courier and tracking.
Aldo Gentilini was born in Genoa in 1911; from a young age he felt a strong religious vocation that led him to enter the cloistered monastery of Pietrasanta, where he stayed for three years, pursuing philosophical studies, before dedicating himself as a self-taught artist whose work would lead him to exhibit in numerous shows in Italy and abroad.
A man of faith, he believes that only through art can the divine be reached. And this thought will underpin all his work: "I try to make emptiness — Gentilini declared — This emptiness provokes a certain catharsis in me: I observe sensitive values that I respect, reevaluate them, but I never know how I will fall into the painting, and this is the realization of a truth toward the sign never thought".
He was an artist who practiced asceticism, to imitate the Saint to whom he was devoted. The two natures, the human and the aesthetic, coincide perfectly.
