Description from the seller
GENERAL:
For Sale: this 1972 Porsche 911T 2.4L oil-filler-cap Coupe, presented in its factory-original Aubergine color. This example showcases the iconic oil-filler-cap, a one-year-only external oil filler cap. This Porsche retains much of its original design, making it a desirable option for both enthusiasts and collectors.
BODY & PAINTWORK:
The car features clean and solid bodywork with excellent panel fit and rust-free floors. Finished in the elegant and period-correct Aubergine (4040), the paint maintains a classic presence. Chrome trim and bumper overriders are present and in good condition, further underlining the car’s authentic presentation.
MECHANICAL CONDITION:
Equipped with the 2.4-liter flat-six engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (915 type), this 911T delivers a true classic Porsche driving experience. To get the best experience from this 911, we recommend giving the engine a service to ensure reliable operation. The suspension should also be checked, as it is slightly higher than it should be.
INTERIOR:
The cabin is in very good condition, featuring black leather upholstery (recently reupholstered) that complements the exterior. The car retains its original Porsche steering wheel and S-style instruments, all which function as intended. The complete interior has been reupholstered.
DOCUMENTATION & DETAILS:
The odometer reads 87,586 miles. The car rides on classic Fuchs alloy wheels, completing its period-correct aesthetic. It comes with all necessary paperwork for registration and road use.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This 1972 Porsche 911T is an honest and well-preserved example that combines originality with mechanical soundness. Whether intended for regular driving or long-term collecting, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire an early 911 in desirable specification and condition.
Extra services:
Transport: We can arrange transport for you, both open and closed.
Export: We offer full export support if you wish to export the car.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
