Description from the seller

- Directly from the studio of the Artist Barbara Nicoletto.
Title: Smooth Sailing, part of the Essential Line, a series centered on formal reduction and the balance between sign, space, and matter. The work develops through an essential composition, where the landscape dissolves into a few structural elements, letting emerge a suspended, timeless vision.
The sea becomes a reflective surface and mental space, while the architectures and nautical references are reduced to traces, almost visual notes, that guide the gaze naturally. The brushstroke is controlled yet expressive, built for light stratifications that grant depth without weighing down the image.
The color palette, sober and refined, is interrupted by calibrated accents that introduce rhythm and visual tension, maintaining a strong sense of overall harmony. The paper support applied on a stretched canvas reinforces the dialogue between delicacy and structure, a distinctive element of the series.
An artwork conceived for collectors and contemporary interiors, capable of elegantly integrating into modern spaces, while offering an intimate and contemplative reading.

Original piece, ready to hang.-

Dim. 80 cm x 80 cm x 2 cm. thickness.

'BARBARA NICOLETTO’ - Italian Artist.
January 1968 - Padua
Active between Reggio Emilia and Padua.

Always passionate about art and drawing, she continued studies at the Pietro Selvatico Art Institute in Padua with a painting specialization, experimenting with various representational techniques such as watercolor, tempera, acrylic, ink, oil, and printmaking techniques thanks to masters deeply knowledgeable of the oldest techniques, reinterpreted with new formulas and current methods that make her an ever-innovative and experimental artist.

Her search for new stimuli and evolutionary balances leads her to collaborate in the world of sport, actively blending different disciplines for physical and psychological well-being, which, mixed with the visual arts first, collaborate and support her until guiding her hand in teaching artistic disciplines and toward new professional objectives.
Her Art can only evolve and change with the mood and curious personality!
She rarely presents herself with a single recognizable artistic persona in a linear production line, but it will emerge and astonish with its eclectic mutability.

1989/2011 - She continues her work in the furniture sector as a designer for several important companies in Veneto and Elia Romagna.
2017 to present - Independent Artist; Atelierist, painting student and related subjects at Reart Reggio Emilia.
She continues experimentation also thanks to her great passion for other cultures abroad, deepening her knowledge of analog and digital photography, with inspiration for her works.
Her curiosity for different modes of expression in art brings her closer to ceramics, with Raku her favorite.
The technique will be learned and deepened in the great workshop of master Nico Toniolo of Marostica.
She participates in various art competitions with works that receive jury recognition such as the first prize at Raku Padova Arts in 2001. Further study of the illusionistic technique of marble and stone such as travertine and Carrara marble.
*Currently her most used technique is evolving oil painting, thanks to the blending of mat grounds mixed with ultramarine blue, metallic oxides, pumice, and whatever moment or opportunity brings to her at that time.
Deep animal gazes, distant peoples, moons and fantastic landscapes!
*She works and evolves an innovative original and abstract Sealing style. Unique of its kind.
She participates in numerous exhibitions with subjects and themes always different, making her works appear as if by different hands, all thanks to her imaginative and eclectic transformative ability.
*Her fertile mind leads her to approach art with a new deeper and more subjective gaze, stripping it of paradigms with which it is labeled, returning it to its true nature, that of speaking the language of feelings and the deepest instincts of humanity while bypassing words. After three years of study she earned the title of Art Therapist recognized by UNI PRO.
