Description from the seller

Elegant game table with a system (portfolio-opening) mechanism, crafted in the Louis XVI style during the Napoléon III era (second half of the 19th century). This refined piece of furniture is distinguished by the use of rosewood, a precious wood with contrasted and elegant grain.
Materials and Finishes:
• Carpentry: Stunning rosewood veneer with geometric marquetry on the top, highlighting the natural grain of the wood.
• Ornamentation: The piece is embellished with gold-colored carved decorations at the corners, featuring rosettes and floral motifs. Golden fillets outline the fluting of the feet and the edges of the tabletop, enhancing its prestigious appearance.
Structure and Functionality:
• Base: It rests on four tapered and fluted feet, characteristic of French neoclassical furniture.
• Play area: The tabletop flips to reveal a playing surface covered with ochre-colored felt, edged with trim. An interior storage compartment is integrated under the tabletop for game accessories.
Condition status
Good overall condition. The structure is stable and the pivoting mechanism works perfectly. There are some signs of use and aging normal for a piece of furniture from the late 19th century, attesting to its authenticity.
Dimensions :
• Height: [75] cm
• Width: [85] cm
• Depth: [45] cm
