Description from the seller

Charming French chaise longue in Louis XV style – hand-carved wood, old white patina, original upholstery – circa 1940–1950

Description

Beautiful, authentic chaise longue / ladies' sofa in the classic Louis XV style, probably French or Belgian work from the 1940s-1950s.

The frame is entirely hand-cut, featuring graceful, curly legs, rocaille accents, and floral motifs. The original paint layer in antique white patina gives it that beloved shabby-chic look that perfectly fits contemporary interiors.

The upholstery is made of richly woven fabric in old green with red and gold stripes, still original and in charming, usable condition. The slight discoloration and signs of age enhance the authentic character of this piece of furniture.

This type of chaise longue was often produced in the first half of the 20th century for boudoirs, reception rooms, and salons — and is now highly sought after as a decorative showpiece or photo prop in both classical and modern settings.

A particularly stylish piece of furniture that radiates elegance, history, and charm.
