Description from the seller

Magnificent and large oval platter made of exotic wood, richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl, depicting a figurative scene in a traditional Asian landscape.

The central scene illustrates figures in traditional dress, animals and pagoda-style architecture, surrounded by elaborate floral and vegetal decoration finely inlaid.

The mother-of-pearl presents beautiful iridescent reflections that vary with the light.

On the reverse there is a red signature, probably a workshop mark.

Chinese or Vietnamese work from the early 20th century.

In good condition despite a few small losses of mother-of-pearl.
