Oil on canvas titled “Più venticinque” by Sandra Chinelate, 2017, 80 x 70 cm, signed by hand at the bottom left, original contemporary work depicting a nude, in Italian origin with excellent condition and gallery provenance from the artist.
Description from the seller
Oil painting on canvas, 80 x 70 cm, signed bottom left, to be shipped on a stretcher.
A painting that depicts the woman in her full youth, hence the title 'Plus Twenty-Five'.
The warm colors that suggest exposure to the sun, perhaps on a beach, contrast with the white of the background and a veil of blue tones, discreet and balanced, offering the reading of a passage toward a more mature age (cooler, indeed) compared to the carefree warmth of the twenties. The artist likes to play with these contrasts, albeit very subtly, as if to imprint the duality and the ambiguities of the subjects and situations present in his works.
Sandra Chinelate, Brazilian, works on the physical and existential inquiry conducted with the tools of figurative painting. A graduate in literature, and as a child a self-taught artist, she moves to Italy and, influenced by her multiple sociolinguistic gaze, conducts her painting research with the aim of promoting an encounter among the different social subjects, where the different ages, skin colors, passions, and human perplexities are contemplated starting from a strong desire of the artist to exalt their facets, safeguarding her characters from any prejudice. Since 2006 she has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and on panel.
