Description from the seller

Traditional Turkish samovar from Istanbul — artfully crafted collectible.

This beautiful samovar, dating from the late 19th century, comes from Turkey (Istanbul) and is signed (the name cannot be deciphered clearly), as evidenced by the inner inscription.

Crafted from copper and with wooden handles and a beautiful form, this unites aesthetics and functionality.

The samovar was constructed in traditional form, with an upper teapot and a larger lower water container. The heating chamber is, as is typical for the region, designed for charcoal or wood fire. A piece that is both decorative and practical, likely to appeal especially to enthusiasts of oriental tea culture or collectors of antique household items.
