Original and authentic postcard envelope, sent by registered mail from British India to
United Kingdom.
Commercial correspondence of Govind Ram Her Pershad & Co., Commission Agents, Rawatpara,
Agra (British India).
The envelope corresponds to registered mail, as indicated by the printed postal form "Registered Letter" on the front side, used officially in the British colonial era.
On the reverse it features authentic postage franking, consisting of two green adhesive half-penny stamps (½d) bearing the effigy of King Edward.
VII, together with an embossed seal of Edward VII, all of them issued during his reign (circa
1901-1910).
The letter was addressed to a private recipient in the United Kingdom, through Brunning & Son Ltd, with the address handwritten on the envelope itself.
