Mid‑century style modular wall unit with an integrated sideboard, made of wood veneer and metal, produced in Germany and dating from circa 1960–1970, dimensions 101 cm high by 143 cm wide by 26 cm deep, in good used condition with minor age‑related signs.
Description from the seller
This redesigned modular storage wall with an integrated chest of drawers is a delicate, functional system furniture piece with a clear mid-century aesthetic and evident handcraftsmanship from the 1960s.
The chest of drawers is finished with real wood veneer. The surface has been refinished; the grain remains lively and evenly preserved. A damaged edge was professionally repaired and stabilized (see detailed photos). The repair was carried out with appropriate materials and integrates harmoniously into the overall appearance.
To enhance the dresser's stability in terms of both standing and connections, it was additionally fixed on the side with a screw. This measure is solely for stability and does not affect function or appearance.
The dresser door has an original lock with a matching key. The lock and mechanism are fully functional; the strike plate and the fittings show an age-appropriate patina.
All shelves are made of wooden boards with wraparound edges and are equipped with new hooks as well as newly chamfered edges.
The ladder and frame elements have been repainted. The color tone was deliberately kept close to the original coloration in order to preserve the authentic character of the system. Slight, age-related signs of wear may be present.
Overall, the piece of furniture presents itself as a sturdy, functional original, with openly and traceably documented interventions as well as authentic signs of use that serve preservation and do not distort its vintage character.
