Sears tls + 50mm lens, good physical condition and tested and functioning.
Description from the seller
for sale an Auto Sears 50mm f/1.7, a bright vintage standard lens known for its surprising value for money. Sears did not manufacture lenses themselves, but rebranded them from reliable Japanese makers such as Ricoh, Mamiya, or Chinon, often guaranteeing build and optical quality of considerable merit.
This specimen is equipped with an M42 screw mount (universal screw mount), the universal standard of the 1960s/70s. This makes it easily adaptable to any modern digital camera (mirrorless or DSLR Canon/Pentax) via a simple inexpensive M42 adapter ring. It should not be confused with the newer version with a Pentax K bayonet mount (which has 'PK' or 'KR' written somewhere).
the main features include:
Solid metal-and-glass construction (typical of Japanese optics of the era).
anti-reflective coating (multi-coated or single-coated depending on the exact version; this appears to be an MC model or at least well treated).
warm and vintage color rendition, with central sharpness often very good even at wide apertures.
Compact and lightweight, ideal as an affordable portrait lens on APS-C (becomes a 75mm equivalent).
The lens is accompanied by a Sears TLS camera (a rebranded Ricoh Singlex TLS), a sturdy mechanical SLR with a TTL exposure meter and a metal Copal Square shutter. A perfect set for those who want to get started with analog photography or upgrade the lens for digital use.
