Giovanni Gallo (Italian, Neapolitan School) Two miniature works inspired by ancient Pompeian frescoes, dated 1982 and 1984. The compositions depict classical figures in theatrical and ritual scenes, rendered against a deep black background, directly referencing Roman wall paintings from Pompeii. The artist combines fine linear drawing with subtle painterly accents, evoking archaeological fragments and ancient stage tableaux.
