Description from the seller

Beautiful antique copper water can, distinguished by the stately Empire style, made of copper with a brass faucet and handle and wooden knobs on the lid and drawer.
This kraankan is an artisanal masterpiece crafted by a coppersmith in the early 19th century (1810-1830).
The faucet is openworked along the top edge and bottom edge with graceful motifs, and the tapering side features a vertical dovetail joint.
Under the handle there is a sliding drawer that is used to be filled with hot charcoal so that the coffee could be kept warm; this drawer and the lid have a decorative wooden knob for insulation.
To prevent copper poisoning, the faucet and the lid are tin-plated on the inside.
Considering the age and history of use, in good and sound condition with a characterful dark patina of age, the can can also be polished to a shiny finish.
This faucet is a masterpiece to which a great deal of attention has been given; it is a jewel in your collection or interior.
Carefully packed and sent via registered mail with track and trace.
