Description from the seller
The Lenco L75 is an iconic Swiss-made turntable, born in 1967, featuring entirely mechanical technology, in that it uses no electronic components inside.
The model for sale comes from Lenco Switzerland's production and dates to 1972.
It offers several speeds, including 16 and 78 rpm. Its drive is belt-driven, and in the 1970s it was the turntable most used in radio studios and in discotheques for its great ruggedness and reliability.
When well adjusted and in good maintenance condition, as is the case with this unit being offered, it can still deliver good performance today. This is why, even today, it remains a fairly sought-after model among enthusiasts, especially for its great fluidity with an tireless motor and a platter weighing a hefty 4 kg! As many of you may know, it is a Spartan product, but characterized by incredible robustness and reliability.
If there is still some spare parts material around, dust-cover hoods are increasingly hard to find in acceptable condition; the hood you see in the photos is the original one that has always accompanied this turntable. As shown in the photos, signs of wear are visible, but after 50 years one can certainly be content with them.
The hood hinges have been cleaned and a small fastener has been added to slow the hood’s descent. I cleaned the oak-colored wooden plinth and adjusted all internal levers to perfection, including the RCA cabling. Turntables with a belt or pulley and a nearly rigid connection between motor and platter are somewhat noisy, but this Lenco will amaze you with its quietness.
The stylus, of medium value, is new and has been used for about three hours, while the headshell is original. In the upper left you can see a small pin that serves either to position the 45 rpm reducer or to accommodate the vinyl cleaning arm, both NOT included in the lot. The cabling is original. The turntable is already calibrated and ready to use, but it is likely that after transport you will need to readjust the anti-skating as well as securely tighten the two red screws before inserting the platter.
The turntable will be packed meticulously and will travel insured. Please review all the photos to avoid future problems.
