Pair of gilt-bronze candlesticks dating to 1930–1940 in an antique Baroque-reinterpreted style, each with a turned shaft, raised candle dish and solid octagonal base, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Pair of candelabras in gilded bronze, produced in the first half of the 20th century and conceived in a pronounced reinterpretation of Baroque style. Each piece features a turned shaft with a dynamic profile, articulated by successive moldings, constrictions, and bulbous knots that evoke models from the seventeenth century. The turning is very balanced, providing vertical rhythm and a particularly attractive play of light on the gilded surface.
They terminate in an upper plate with a slightly raised edge, designed for candles of substantial size, while the octagonal base—solid and well-proportioned—ensures stability and reinforces the architectural reading of the piece. The gilding, warm and uniform, shows a soft patina that betrays its age without diminishing its shine or decorative presence.
This is a decorative and versatile pair, ideal for both classic interiors and eclectic environments seeking to introduce a historically accented touch with character.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
