Description from the seller
Daido Moriyama, between sensuality and color, in this precious book published in only 1,000 numbered copies and hand-signed by the author. Pristine condition, a collectible book.
Daido Moriyama
One step out of the house and his journey has already begun, says the photographer. Shrouds of darkness and whirlwinds of light silently descend, everything throbs, alive and tremoring. The outside world pretends, entirely by chance, to open door after door before the photographer’s eyes. The seventies. Unable to distance himself from his photos, Daido Moriyama kept shooting relentlessly, even as he ventured into what were supposed to be the depths of a profound confusion, casually piling up color 35mm and small-format images at a speed never seen before. When people try to overcome misfortune, they try to give meaning to the suffering that has knocked at their door. As if all apparently casual events hid a catalyst to elude further calamities and push them to the next step.
