Description from the seller
This is an interesting large vintage photograph, about 23.7x35.5 cm, taken by the famous Sicilian photographer Calogero Cascio, during his famous reportage in India in 1965 in search of the world and Indian religions. Indeed here is captured a local custom in the holy city of Haridwar, the only one in Uttarakhand, called "The Gate of the Gods," one of the 7 jewels in which Hinduism is expressed, a location on the Ganges river, where millions of devotees scatter flowers, bathe to erase karma, offer flowers, pray and take sacred water home.
This is a genuine vintage photograph, duly stamped on the back by Calogero Cascio himself, with a double stamp.
Excellent overall condition, guaranteed 100% authentic.
