Description from the seller
This Sony Sports Walkman WM-B53 was manufactured in the mid-1980s, around 1986–1989, and is designed as a rugged, splash-protected portable cassette player for active use. This model belongs to the well-known Sports series and features the characteristic yellow housing with black accents.
The WM-B53 is equipped with auto-reverse and runs on two AA batteries of 1.5 volts. The weight is about 320 grams without batteries, which is logical given the reinforced construction and seals that distinguish this model from standard Walkmans. The operation is fully mechanical, and the device is intended for playing standard compact cassettes via a stereo headphone output.
This exemplar is in very good vintage condition with hardly any signs of wear despite its obvious age. The case is intact, hinges and lids are present, and the original markings and model designations are very legible. Included in the accessories is the classic yellow headband for in-ear headphones.
The device is offered as vintage electronics. Based on the photos, there is nothing more to add.
