Jardinière - Silvered bronze - Centerpiece

Silver-plated metal centerpiece or ceremonial piece (probably bronze). Given its shape, size, and handles, it does not seem to be a piece for everyday use, but rather ornamental or ceremonial. Side handles with a lion head: a very classical motif, associated with prestige, power and historicist decoration. Ribbed body and a wavy upper edge with reliefs: reminiscent of Neoclassical style. Late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. United Kingdom (England) although probably manufactured in Asia (China or Japan).
Good state of preservation although there are areas with slight friction and wear, which does not structurally affect the integrity of the piece (see images to get a better idea of the whole).
9 centimeters tall, 13 centimeters in diameter. 750 grams.
