Description from the seller
Set of antique & vintage wood chisels – quality from yesterday
Beautiful collection of antique and vintage wood chisels from different brands and models, sourced from old workshops. These are high-quality tools from a time when steel was still carefully forged and handles were turned with craftsmanship.
The set includes among others specimens from Ward & Payne (Cast Steel) and Marples, well-known British manufacturers renowned for their durable steel and excellent cutting properties. In addition there are several classic models with characterful wooden hafts and brass or steel ferrules.
All chisels are sharp and still perfectly usable, but naturally show signs of use appropriate to their age: patina on the steel, slight discolorations and traces of years of honest work. This exactly gives these pieces their authentic appearance and charm.
Ideal for the woodworker who loves traditional tools, for collectors of old hand tools or as a decorative workshop piece with a history. Each specimen has its own character.
A unique opportunity to acquire solid historic tools — built to work, built to last for generations.
