For sale is a hand-carved and colorfully finished holy figure depicting a monk with tonsure. The figure shows a friar in a dark habit with a belt cord, the right hand raised, the left placed on the chest.
Item number: AV2000
Dimensions: H 11 × W 5 cm
Details:
Technique: wood, carved and polychromed
With bone work: the head and the two hands are made of bone
Motif: monk/saint of the order with tonsure and habit
Colors: dark habit with a lighter collar, natural-toned facial areas
Frame: oval pedestal, colorfully finished
Origin: probably Central Europe, 19th/20th century
Condition:
Good condition. The images are part of the condition description.
