In these photos I present a classic bentwood coat rack in good condition. Such pieces are often referred to as “Viennese coat stands” and are typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. On the bottom of one leg, remnants of a label are still visible; I don’t know whether it is a product of the Thonet company.

Material: These coat stands are traditionally made from steam-bent beech wood (bentwood technique).

The base often doubles as a stand for umbrellas, walking sticks, or shoehorns.
This piece of furniture is in good condition, but upon closer inspection it shows slight signs of wear.
Working tool: height 188 / 52 cm.
Vintage decorative ornament.
This striking piece of art can be placed in the living room or beside a side table.
