Description from the seller
Ralf Altrieth (Heilbronn, 1966).
Acrylic on paper mounted on melamine-coated wood, 'Übung Flecken Sinn', 2014
65 x 50 cm, ready to hang.
Sold by Recodier Art, France
DOCUMENTATION :
A dated and signed certificate of authenticity is included.
DESCRIPTION :
Dense and narrative composition, built around a central dark core from which a multitude of small figures emerges. This vertical concentration creates a strong visual axis, contrasting with the more open and luminous areas that surround the scene.
In the upper part, a black triangular shape acts as a structuring graphic sign, while colored elements—blue, pink, yellow and green—introduce a lighter, almost dreamlike counterpoint. The whole oscillates between free figuration and symbolic construction, inviting a personal reading.
The surface shows a dense, almost creamy material: overlays, rubbed areas, and visible scratches in the still-wet paint. This intentional texture contributes to the depth and tension of the surface.
The overall composition exudes a strong visual tension that immediately draws the eye and gradually reveals its details.
Original work created in 2014.
Very good state of preservation.
The frame visible in some photos is shown for illustration purposes. The artwork is sold without a frame.
