Semi pendel designed by Bonderup & Thorup for Lyfa. Story: Semi was designed in 1968. Bonderup and Thorup wanted to produce a lamp that contained sharp, clean lines and a geometric shape. Their design was submitted to a competition at the Academy of Fine Arts' School of Architecture, and won first prize. In the 1980s, the pendulum achieved great success and at that time became the best-selling Danish design and achieved worldwide recognition and iconic status. Lyfa: In the 1960s and 1970s, the danish light Company Lyfa became known for playful and modern lamps, which won several design awards. Among the factory's designers were Finn Juhl, Bent Karleby, Simon Henningsen, Acton Bjørn, Louis Weisdorf, Eva & Niels Koppel, Fritz Schlegel, Piet Hein and Aage Petersen.
