About the Artist: Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar is a contemporary Indian artist whose work is defined by a meticulous exploration of geometric abstraction and the interplay of "clean, straight lines." An alumnus of the College of Art, Delhi University (B.F.A. Class of 2013), he has successfully carved a niche for himself in the national art scene with a style that transforms structured patterns into deep, evocative landscapes.

Artistic Vision and Technique:

Abhishek’s practice revolves around what he terms a "fragmented reality." While many landscape artists focus on literal representation, his approach uses precise, linear compositions to create complex patterns that suggest natural forms—mountains, trees, and sunrises—through an abstract lens.

Precision and Pattern: His works are noted for their high level of detail and "precision," where individual lines converge to form intricate, rhythmic structures.

Balance of Light: Central to his work is the "source of light," often depicted through vibrant gradients of oils and acrylics that slice through his linear patterns.

The Emotional Core: Despite the "clean" aesthetic, Abhishek describes his work as holding an "ongoing equilibrium" that can sometimes radiate a "latent violence" or "disconcerting beauty."

New Delhi: He has a long-standing association with the Lalit Kala Akademi and the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS). His work has also been featured at the India Habitat Centre and the Lodi in New Delhi.

Mumbai: He has participated in group shows such as "In an Artist’s Mind X" at Nirlon Knowledge Park and the India Art Festival.

Veer Hooda is an Indo-European (Austrian) contemporary artist based in Vienna, whose practice is shaped by a deep connection to his Indian roots and a great love for his now home, Europe.

Veer Hooda has exhibited across some of the top galleries and exhibitions across the world and has recently finished his sold-out show in Miami Art Basel 2025, this year (2026) 2he will be exhibiting in, among other highly esteemed exhibitions, Venice Biennale 2026, ArtExpo New York 2026, multiple exhibitions across Europe and Austria and returning to Art Basel Miami at the end of the year.  

While his own work reflects a strong conceptual and material sensibility developed through years of creative and professional experience, Hooda is equally driven by a clear mission: to make outstanding Indian artistic talent more visible and accessible within the European art market.

Signed and Authenticity: All works are hand signed by the artist and a signed Certificate of Authenticity for all works will be provided by NIV Art Center.

Packaging & Insurance: The painting will be packaged professionally and shipped rolled in a tube. The Artwork is fully insured on the way to the buyer.

Duties and import: The import duties on original artworks to most EU countries is 0%, however some countries may apply an Import VAT of 5-12% and/or clearance fees which has to be paid by the buyer before delivery, this has to be done online in most cases through the service of the delivery company. This is a fairly simple process, however, we will gladly assist if needed with anything.
