Exclusive Art Deco-Brutalist Breakfast Set – M.E. Silvered G
An elegant four-piece coordinating dinnerware set, characterized by its excellent craftsmanship and a design that blends the robustness of metal with the delicacy of classical ornamentation.
-Origin: Spanish or French manufacture for the Spanish market.
-Period: First part of the 20th century (Approx. 1920-1950).
-Style of Vessels:
*Late Art Deco. Characterized by its stylized cylindrical bodies, the use of clean vertical lines, streamlined integrated spouts, and geometric knobs on the lids.
*Brutalist. Characterized by a design of rhythmic, deeply relief rims (deep gadrooning) and a robust physical presence that projects a solid, architectural aesthetic. -Ornamentation: A sophisticated contrast between the geometric simplicity of the polished metal and a chiseled perimeter border featuring scrolls and classically inspired plant forms softens the rigidity of the shapes. The tray boasts an elegant Brutalist design with fluted edges and chamfered corners.
-Material: High-quality base metal (MTL/bronze-brass) with a thick sterling silver plating.
-Technique: Stamped and hand-assembled with a mirror-polished finish and electroplating.
