Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained fame in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking among the ten best sculptors under 30 years old that year according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him as one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl on his impressive two-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, displayed at the Grand Palais.

Karl’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, prompted by his meeting with sculptor César Baldaccini. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin.
