BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST:
Antoni Sala Herrero (1927-2012) was a Spanish self-taught painter, specializing in landscapes, marine and harbor views. From a young age he showed a love for drawing and, in 1967, he held his first solo exhibition in Figueres. His work is characterized by luminous, colorful atmospheres with an impressionist style. He regularly exhibited in venues and galleries in Barcelona and other Catalan towns, and won important prizes such as the Vila de Palamós (1969) and the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts of Paris (1983). His work includes landscapes of the Costa Brava and Mediterranean views, with oils on canvas highly valued in the art market.
