Leonidas - BF 417 10 seconden - 1960-1969

This Leonidas stopwatch is a compact and highly precise 10-second model, equipped with the rugged BF 417 movement (Beaufort Frères). Unlike standard 60-second stopwatches, this model makes one full revolution in 10 seconds, making it ideal for short, rapid measurements with high resolution.

The white dial is clean and highly legible, with large Arabic numerals and a clear scale. In the subdial at 12 o'clock sits the totalizer for elapsed intervals, so longer measurements can be followed in successive 10-second steps. The red marking at the top clearly indicates the zero point.

The movement is marked HEUER-LEONIDAS S.A. – SWISS MADE – SEVEN JEWELS – UNADJUSTED, which places this piece in the 1960s to 1970s period, when Heuer and Leonidas operated as one brand.
