Nishorie is a made-up name. A word with no past, no reference. It sounds like a riddle. Like a first name you don’t forget.
I wanted to create a work that doesn’t reveal itself immediately. An image that suggests more than it shows. The posture evokes instinct, but the gaze imposes awareness.
There is a duality in this piece: gentleness and tension, vulnerability and control. It is this boundary that interests me.
