Description from the seller
OVERVIEW
The 348 Spider featured an aluminum and steel body. The hardtop was fabric, perfectly integrated into the car’s silhouette thanks to extensive wind tunnel studies, retractable into the area behind the seats with a mechanism that allowed both longitudinal comfort and fuel tank capacity to be preserved.
The interior volumes and the driving position had been designed to guarantee maximum possible comfort in relation to the sports setup. The seat and finishes were in Connolly leather.
The 348 Spider had a load-bearing chassis with a tubular structure of differentiated elements, with a tubular lattice subframe supporting the engine-suspension group. The steering was rack-and-pinion.
In a central rear position, in longitudinal configuration, the 3,405 cc 90° V8 engine could deliver 320 hp. The configuration used four overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The engine management system, however, was
DOCUMENTATION AND HISTORY
This Ferrari 348 Spider is a specimen of Italian origin, perfectly embodying the technical and stylistic legacy of the 1990s. The car is Matching Numbers & Colors, preserving the most radiant and sporty color pairing of the range: the splendid Ferrari Yellow in contrast with the refined Connolly black leather interior. Accompanying the car are the original service book, attesting to its maintenance chronology, and the complete leather tool kit.
EXTERIOR CONDITION: THE EXCELLENCE OF DESIGN
The bodywork and paint are in superb condition, a reflection of a life spent away from the elements and dust.
The fabric top has been carefully preserved: the latching mechanism is smooth and the fabric maintains its deep black color, without signs of wear or permanent creasing, ensuring a perfect seal and an impeccable line whether open or closed.
MECHANICS: UNCOMPROMISING PERFORMANCE
Under the hood, the 320 hp V8 is in excellent working order. The car has been regularly serviced at authorized Ferrari workshops, following strict maintenance procedures.
Distribution: here lies a strength: the full service including timing belt replacement has been recently carried out and remains fully valid.
The mechanics are ready for use: the gearbox engages gears with the characteristic grille-like metal engagement precision, and the 90° engine sound is clean and powerful, free from any irregularities.
INTERIORS: THE CHARM OF CONNOLLY LEATHER
The cockpit represents the heart of the Spider experience. The interior has been preserved in exemplary fashion: the seat leather shows no sagging or tears, preserving the aroma and texture that only period original materials can offer.
The plastics and central console buttons have been checked and kept in excellent condition.
Every detail, from the analog instrumentation to the carpeting, reflects the care of the person who owned this car not only as a means of transportation but as a piece of mechanical art.
Rarely does one encounter a 348 Spider in this color configuration and in such a state of preservation. It is a car ready to enjoy coastal roads with the wind in your hair, with the reassurance of certified and recently serviced mechanics.
Car viewable in Modena, Italy.
