A French Louis XV standing clock is an extravagant, often asymmetrical clock from the Rococo period (ca. 1730-1760) with rich embellishments, such as gilded bronze (ormolu), wood carving, and Boulle inlay (tortoiseshell and brass), featuring floral motifs, S- and C-scrolls (rocaille), and often a console (console clock) or wall model (cartel clock) with a detailed movement, renowned for its artistry and craftsmanship, made by famed clockmakers such as Viger or Melot.

This clock contains an appraisal report from 1992 and is in excellent condition.

The buyer must arrange that this is shipped with a carrier; of course we will provide full cooperation and it will be carefully packed.
