Description from the seller
Enamelled copper box with metal mounting – late 18th century
Enamelled copper box, shaped form, decorated with polychrome enamel in a central architectural landscape depicting buildings and a church in a rural setting. The scene is framed by a shaped cartouche, while the rest of the surface is adorned with vertical polychrome bands in blue, yellow, and purple tones.
The object features a metal mounting applied to the edges, which reinforces the profile and integrates the original hinge of the lid. Interior enameled white with widespread craquelure, coherent with the technique and the period of production.
European production, probably late 18th century.
The piece is refined, intended for use as a toilet box, tobacco box, or decorative container, today sought after by collectors of enamelled objects and decorative arts.
Condition:
Overall good. Presence of craquelure, light wear, small signs of aging and slight irregularities of the enamelling, visible in the photographs. No evident structural fracture. Mounting and hinge functioning.
Dimensions:
Width approximately 12 cm
(see photograph with a measuring tape for reference)

Shipping
The item is shipped from Switzerland.
For shipments to the European Union, longer delivery times and possible import costs (VAT, duties, or customs clearance charges) are to be expected, payable by the purchaser.
Traditional mail represents the most economical solution, but not the fastest or most reliable in terms of delivery times. If this method is chosen, rapid timing cannot be guaranteed.
On request, other carriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc.) can be considered with a customized quote.
Careful packaging, appropriate to the fragility of the object.
