Two units of switchboard plus connecting cable
To be able to operate the switches and signals with a self-set switchboard, Märklin introduced the switchboard in the Märklin Digital system. The switchboard is a somewhat lesser-known component of the Märklin Digital program. With the switchboard, a total of 16 switches or signals can be operated. However, the feedback is not linked to an actual report of the operated item.
The switchboard can control 4 groups of 4 switches or signals at a time, which are connected to the same K83 decoder or K84 decoder. The addresses 1 to 4 correspond to the 4 outputs of the 1st decoder, 5 to 8 to the 2nd decoder, and so on. To control more than 16 switches/signals via additional K83/K84 decoders, the switchboard can be addressed from the back using DIP switches. Operation is carried out with keys of your choice as long as they are momentary contacts. Feedback is provided by lamps or LEDs of your choice at each key pair. The switchboard must have its own power supply for the signaling.
Both switchboards are in very good condition.
