Description from the seller
One-of-a-kind work signed by the author, 2013, oil pastel on paper, a piece that is part of a series of drawings about urban landscapes and nudes, created in different years and media. They are works of free expression, where different techniques are explored and drawing is the end in itself. They are generally small in size and parallel to the artist's central body of work, composed of large-scale contemporary painting.
David Ferraz, a visual artist with formal training in architecture, participated in his first group exhibition in the year 2000. An essentially figurative artist whose painting is grounded in drawing and formal composition, in a free and spontaneous manner, embracing error and time in layering as a method of creation, which translates into a very distinctive artistic language.
A large part of his work is scattered across small private collections, national and international.
At the moment, David Ferraz is preparing his new project/exhibition for a prestigious international gallery.
