Description from the seller

Majestic center table (or library table) made entirely in solid walnut, datable to the late 19th and early 20th century. The piece represents an excellent example of cabinetmaking inspired by the Neo-Renaissance style, with a solid architectural structure and harmonious proportions.

The rectangular top, characterized by a generous thickness and edges elegantly moulded, overlooks a subtop fascia that houses three concealed drawers on the front. The fronts of the drawers are enriched by meticulous beadwork carved into the wood and preserve the original brass fittings with a central lock.

Decorative Elements and Base
The table rests on a base with a dramatic "fratina"-style base:

The Supports: Two imposing uprights shaped like urns or vases, decorated with incised details of nature and volute scrolls, terminating in high-relief lion-paw feet.

The Transom/Transverse: The two supports are joined by a central shaped crosspiece, which features at the center a carved pediment with a floral rosette and acanthus-leaf motifs.

Condition
The table is in excellent preservation. The structure is perfectly stable and the walnut wood presents a warm and luminous patina. There are slight and natural signs of time that confer authenticity to the piece, without compromising its aesthetic or functionality.
