Description from the seller
42x29.7 cm (A3)
unique piece on art paper
unframed
2026
Since 2018, Warren Podguszer, known by the pseudonym Wawapod, has immersed himself in the world of Pop Art and street art in Paris, developing a unique style that fuses geometry and popular iconography. His work stands out for the reuse of emblematic icons through accumulations of dots, paying homage to art history and to popular figures he admires.
His works often have an initial abstract reading that becomes figurative depending on the distance from which you view them. He likes the idea that each person who observes his works does not necessarily see the same thing, but above all he enjoys playing with the viewer's eye.
By deflecting certain masterpieces, he aims to rediscover them for the broad public and invites them to explore art history in a playful, modern, and democratic way.
Possibility to pick up the artwork in the Greater Paris area.
This work is a unique piece and signed by hand on the back and on the front by the artist.
Technique: Aerosol paint and acrylic on art paper.
Wawapod is a Parisian artist and street artist who holds exhibitions across the country. His works are presented in several galleries in France and Europe.
WAWAPOD belongs to the same artistic current as: Jacques Villeglé, Invader, Jef Aérosol, Speedy Graphito, Vhils, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Obey, Shepard Fairey, Onemizer, C215, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Jerome Mesnager.
