Two French Neo‑Classical gilded bronze and glass frames dating to 1850–1900, with vegetal and floral ornament, putti on top, a central harlequin face and side dog heads, external 36×23 cm and internal 14×10 cm, and condition described as reasonable with possibly some small pieces missing, each with original glass including two minor faults on one pane.
Description from the seller
Absolutely fantastic pair of late 19th-century frames.
Of French origin, made in gilded bronze, with a lovely patina.
In the Neo-Classical style, with vegetal and floral decoration in an undulating wave shape, with a pair of putti on top, a Harlequin face in the center, dog heads on the sides, highly ornate and full of embellishing details.
They are both in very good structural condition, both still with the original glass, one of the panes has two minuscule flaws.
Gorgeous.
