Introduction José Soler:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xmToe0GrYo
This unique sculpture has emerged from a collaborative project with another artist and craftsman, José Luis Gomez.
It is a sculpture inspired by Cycladic culture; 'Cycladic face' refers to human figures, usually female, created by Cycladic culture during the Early Bronze Age (3200–2000 BC) in the Cyclades islands of Greece. These figures are known for their schematic, flat style, and some have been found in funerary contexts.
These figures are stripped of individual features and charged with universality. They do not represent a face, but the idea of the face; not a figure, but a symbol. It represents our past, empty faces that have been lost in an echo of a past humanity, but which, thanks to them, we are who we are today.
Made of fiberglass and polychromed in oil.

José Soler is a sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Monaco, Italy or France. Through each of his pieces, he strives to bring out the melody that lives within each of us. Soler cites the conversion of cold steel into sculpture as his way of connecting with what is invisible to our eyes and what can only be perceived with universal feelings.
