Looking for a good, rugged CD player? It may seem simple, but it isn't. First, there is the unit, which was often developed for PCs or other multimedia uses, but not optimized for CD. Unlike the quiet mechanism of the PD-10 AE, being one of the few original CD units, it was specifically developed for reliable and quiet CD playback, and is mounted in the center of a torsion-resistant steel-sheet chassis. The high-capacity power supply is not standard, nor is the DAC board, which uses the modern AKM-DAC 4482VT with a high-precision clock pulse: only ±10 ppm deviation from the nominal value. Ideal criteria for natural, precise sound.
