The Tannoy EF 5.1 Subwoofer (mostly known as the PS100 subwoofer in the series) is a compact, active subwoofer designed specifically as a complement to the accompanying satellite speakers. It is a 'down-firing' design, meaning that the 8-inch driver is directed toward the floor to spread the bass response throughout the room. It delivers 100 watts of power, which is sufficient to add noticeable, tight bass to smaller to medium-sized rooms. The unit is designed to work seamlessly with the frequency response via an adjustable crossover, creating a cohesive and immersive sound image.
