Breitling - Tel-Rad - 1950-1959

Beautiful, rare Breitling Tel-Rad stopwatch from the late 1950s. This type was used, among other things, for timing where a special Tel-Rad scale is handy (originally for telephony/tariffing and technical measurements).
The white dial is equipped with multiple, highly legible rings in red, green and black.
Internally, a mechanically high-quality Valjoux 5 movement (column-wheel chronograph), with the special feature that when the crown is pulled out, the minute hand can be moved to a user-chosen position, a rare characteristic.
General condition with light signs of wear appropriate to age. The crystal is clear and scratch-free; the movement was fully serviced in February 2026 by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent condition.
Diameter approx. 56 mm and a weight of 133 grams.
