The painting was created with a special and unusual technique. The artist does not use brushes but applies the acrylic paint directly to the canvas by hand. The paint is poured very liquid onto unprimed cotton fabric and massaged into the fabric. This makes the color penetrate deeply into the fabric and no brushstrokes are visible. The artist repeats this process several times. The paintings consist of up to ten layers of color. This results in very fine color transitions and nuances that are difficult to reproduce accurately in photos.
