Napoleon III French Gold Mirror from the 19th Century
Important antique French mirror from the Napoleone III era, dating to the second half of the nineteenth century, characterized by a rich wooden frame finely carved and gilded.
The structure features an elegant raised-relief decoration with floral motifs, scrolls and carved sprigs running along the entire perimeter, with accentuated corners and a shaped base. The original gilding preserves a pleasant patina of time, with light wear that attests to authenticity and historical charm.
The original mercury mirror shows the typical oxidations and veils of the era, an element that increases its collectible value and antiquarian interest. The back is made of solid wooden boards with a contemporaneous structure.
