Magnificent and elegant ornamental cup from the 19th century, made in patinated bronze and marble, of high executive quality and notable visual presence.
The cup features a body richly shaped with refined relief decoration of botanical tendrils and leaves, finely chased and developed with a fluid and natural flow, typical of the best decorative production of a late 19th-century taste. On the upper rim stand out two winged putti in bronze, sculpted with great plastic sensitivity and anatomical attention, captured in a contemplative pose, an element of strong symbolic elegance and compositional value.
The bronze casting is of excellent quality, with a warm, deep patina that enhances volumes and details, giving the whole a noble and authentic appearance. All of it rests on a solid marble base, turned and proportioned, which provides vertical thrust and stability, creating a refined material contrast with the metal.
