A mechanical stopwatch from circa 1950, with a steel case (50 mm diameter), white dial with clear graduations, steel-blue hands, hand-wound movement, in good condition with visible signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Stopwatch – ca. 1950
A classic mechanical stopwatch from around 1950, housed in a steel case with a clear white dial. The dial is clearly laid out with a natural scale, allowing the time to be read precisely and quickly – an essential feature for stopwatches used in sporting events, technical measurements, and industrial applications.
The stopwatch features elegant steel-blue hands, a detail that is not only functional but also aesthetically appealing. These traditionally blued steel hands were often used in watchmaking due to their good visibility and subtle color contrast with the light dial.
With its robust steel case and classic design, this is a fine example of a mechanical timekeeping instrument from the mid-20th century. Today, such stopwatches are popular with collectors of vintage timepieces and instruments from the history of sport and timekeeping.
