The bottle has never been open in its original box, it is in very good condition. Founded in 1942 by Don Julio Gonzales, Don Julio has been distilling 100% agave tequila since 1949. In 1987, to celebrate 45 years of production, the first aged premium tequila was named Don Julio Reposado. Then in 2002, to mark the company's sixtieth anniversary, Don Julio 1942 was introduced to the market. In addition to a selection of the finest blue agave, Don Julio 1942 is aged for 2? years in bourbon casks and distilled in small stills. The result is a mellow tequila with light spicy notes.
